Preheat oven to 375 and grease a baking sheet.
Cream sugars with shortening. Add the eggs and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients and add to wet mixture a little bit at a time.
Then add the oats, cereal and coconut.
Using a cookie scoop, scoop the dough into balls, roll with your hands and press down lightly with a fork.
Bake cookies for 12-14 minutes.
