My Thoughts on this Recipe

This Crockpot Maple Dijon Chicken Drumsticks recipe from Skinnytaste is perfect for when you have a busy day and no time to cook! It takes literally five minutes to put into the Crockpot, and after about four hours you are left with delicious drumsticks. I think kids would love these, too.

Ingredients

The main ingredients are chicken drumsticks, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar and Dijon mustard. See the full recipe here.

Recommendations

I have made this a couple of times, and the first time I turned the drumsticks over every once in a while, and that time it came out better. I recommend turning the drumsticks over, maybe every hour if you can. I think it helps get the sauce incorporated into the drumsticks.

I use this slow cooker, and I love it. You can actually take the bowl out and put it on the stove and brown something and then put it into the Crockpot.

The first time I purchased the drumsticks, I had to take the skin off of them, and that completely grossed me out. This time I paid more so it was done for me, and I will be doing that in the future! I highly recommend doing this.

Future Ideas/Variations

The sauce on these drumsticks is so good. I wonder how it would turn out if I doubled that the next time. It might be worth a try to avoid the flipping of the drumsticks.

I bet this would be great with pork chops or pork tenderloin too.

Final thoughts

This is a tasty recipe that’s great for a busy day!
