My Thoughts on this Recipe

This Perfect Fruit Salad from Carlsbad Cravings is so light and refreshing. I love that it is sweet, but not too sweet, and the dressing is not heavy and loaded with sugar. It is basically fresh fruit with a little extra flavor, and I am here for it!

Ingredients

The main ingredients are: pineapple, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, bananas, clementines with a honey lime glaze. View the full recipe here.

Recommendations

This fruit salad makes a LOT of salad. I would recommend having somewhere to take it because while it did last a few days in the refrigerator, it is tough to eat all of it in time unless you have a really large family.

When I prepared this salad, I chopped the kiwi, and pineapple and separated the clementine slices ahead of time. Then, I placed them each in their own individual containers. I kept the remainder of the fruit (strawberries, blueberries, and grapes) in the separate containers I purchased them in. This made assembly easy for the day of the salad and also sustained the life of the fruit.

Once the salad was made, I only chopped enough bananas for that day, and then I repeated the process every time we ate it. Carlsbad Cravings has some excellent ideas for other ways to use your remaining fruit salad at the bottom of her recipe.

Future Ideas/Variations

You could definitely change up this recipe with different types of fruits, but the one thing I might do next time is add some fresh mint leaves.

Final thoughts

This Perfect Fruit Salad is fantastic, and it will be great the next time you need a fruit side dish!
